Syllabus and specifications

Through their Track Changes project, the student organisations Teach the Future UK and SOS-UK invited teachers and academics to collaborate in revising secondary economics curricula. Through this work, a new syllabus in Regenerative Economics has been developed that reframes students’ understanding of the purpose and workings of the local-to-global economy. The syllabus was co-created by secondary educators, researchers, and academics including Kate Raworth, David Bollier and Emily Jones.

The specifications document adds more content details and command terms to the syllabus. Specifications make it possible to design exams for the course, if needed for your particular school context. However, other assessment types (project- and place-based learning) are more aligned with the aims and spirit of the Regenerative Economics materials.

Specifications for Topic 1: Introduction to the economy are below. Other specifications are being generated in conjunction with the textbook.
