Consider one or more of the following questions to reflect on at the end of Subtopic 3.4. Discuss with another student or in a small group, or record (written, audio, video) your response.

• How would you rate the relative importance of entrepreneurship versus intrapreneurship in the transition to regenerative economies? If you were to take on a changemaking role, do you think you would be more likely to be an entrepreneur or intrapreneur. Why?

• Which circular business models have you seen or experienced in your community? 

  • How effective do you think they are? 

  • How might they become more effective? What is your personal role?

  • Are there any you could implement in your school?

• To what extent do you or your family members pay attention to certification when buying products? What accounts for your attention (or lack of attention)? Has learning more about certification, or this course in general, changed how much you pay attention to what you purchase?

• Mariana Mazzucato refers to the ‘entrepreneurial state’ when she talks about its role in innovation. How do people view the state with regard to business activities in your country or local community - as entrepreneurial or a hindrance to innovation? Why do you think this is the case?
